James Spencer is a theologian specializing in biblical interpretation and the intersection of theology with other disciplines such as sociology, decision-making science, media studies, and organizational leadership and strategy.
After completing his PhD in Theological Studies from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, James spent eleven years in higher education administration. He currently serves as the President of the D. L. Moody Center in Northfield, MA, and is faculty chair at Right On Mission.
James writes opinion pieces for sites such as The Christian Post, TownHall.com, and The Western Journal. He also appears as a
guest on podcasts and radio programs to speak on a variety of topics from a biblical and theological perspective. James remains active in research and writing, particularly in the area of discipleship and prayer.
James and his wife have been married since 1999 and have three children. They live near St. Louis, MO, where they attend Skyline Church in O’Fallon, Illinois.
